The Manor House

Today the Manor House at Tanglewood is used as a bed and breakfast. The center portion of the house was built in 1859 by William Johnson and family.
In 1921 the house was sold to William Reynolds and wife Kate. Along with the house, they also purchased 1300 acres of land around the house, which is now Tanglewood Park.
They finished building on to the house after the purchase.
What you see today is the final product of their labors. If you get a chance be sure to visit this North Carolina Icon to explore this beautiful house with its hand laid rock fireplace.
